Lean Fundamentals Training & Certification Workshop

Lean Fundamentals Training & Certification Workshop

Workshop Description

Operational Excellence Consulting partners with one of the leading providers of public Lean Management workshops to provide high-quality and well-recognized Lean certification workshops. All Lean certification workshops are approved by the IACET and PMI.

The fundamental objective of Lean Management is to minimize end-to-end process lead time and to maximize value through the reduction or elimination of non-value added activities and the creation of process flow, for both materials and information.

This four-day Lean Fundamentals certification workshop is applicable to manufacturing and service organizations and introduces an organization to many of the most widely used Lean Management methods and tools.

Workshop Benefits

Organizations that re-think their end-to-end processes or value chains and find ways to provide what their Customers value better, faster, and with significantly fewer resources than their competitors can obviously develop an unassailable competitive advantage.

After this workshop, organizations should comprehend the methods needed to effectively apply Lean Management to manufacturing, transactional and administrative processes, and utilize Lean methodologies and figures to decrease expenses, reduce lead/cycle times, increase volume, and improve the productivity of its core processes or value streams.

This course is typically delivered as a four- or five-day workshop, depending on the possibility to integrate actual work processes into the workshop.

Who Should Attend

Process owners, managers, and employees throughout the organization involved in critical manufacturing or service processes that require shorter lead times, improved productivity, and lower costs. The optimum number of participants is 3 to 4 teams of 4 to 5 team members each.

Kaizen Event Workshop

Kaizen workshops are of course available after the course to transfer the workshop learnings to an existing manufacturing or service process. A Kaizen event consists in most cases of 1 to 2 days of planning and preparation followed by a two- to four-day Kaizen event. During the Kaizen event, the appropriate Lean methods and tools will be applied to a specific high-impact manufacturing, service, or administrative process. Typical Kaizen events have a payback time of less than 3 months.
